I said I am going to create my own opposition to overthrow PAP. My teachers laughed. the fat librarian went hysterical, cos i never saw her laugh or even smile before.
I was shocked, my pride was badly damaged. Is this why students get discouraged? That is why local students have no signs of creativity. In other countries, every opinion of the student is greatly encouraged, No one was laughed at for insane ideas. it might get them somewhere big in the future after all.
Or maybe, I am not up to it at all?being idealistic is a big NO-NO. I refused to accept these facts. I had to be substantial and prove my worth to be a lawyer, then my own opposition. Small minute actions actually cause quite a lot of pride damage.
Today, Edmund was acting weird. He was very secretive and left halfway in class. I shared his mood, and i knew something was terribly wrong, I looked into his face, I saw a part of it that resembled my reaction when i received some sort of bad news. I remembered vividly i cried. I shall not jump to conclusions. But i hope, God protects his family and him.
