Mr Lee said: "In Singapore, I'm worried about what the people think of me. As long as the people understand that what I am doing is in their best interests and there is no alternative that is better than what, not just me but my successors, are offering, we are not doing too badly. "The final test is not whether you are rated by Amnesty International or Human Rights International, but the satisfaction of the people you are governing towards you and what you have delivered." -

Singapore shaken after quakes in Indonesia

Singapore experienced TWO tremors today, in beACH road as well CCK. Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Toa Payoh, Woodlands, Serangoon, Sengkang and CBD areas like Robinson Road and Shenton Way. were also affected.
Isnt that almost the whole Singapore?!?

"Everyone was panicking. One of my colleagues was crying because she had never felt such an effect before. We were all rushing out of the building."

Eh... CRYING? I guessed the effect must be so overwhelming that u could feel the EArth cracking and reaping apart, after all, earthquakes are never a threat to Singapore, we have neighboring countries taking the damage whenever other places are having an earthquakes.

US warns China on military build-up

This is hilarious, at least to me, US is so so so afraid of the rising 'DRAGON' in China,
WHY AFRAID?
Because as China's economy grows, the dependence of US's exports will greatly fall, their GDP will experience a drastic drop, not to mention their BUDGET DEFICIT that have been existing for a few years running now. A DEFICIT, MIND YOU! our superpower , the country that Asia largely depends on is in debt.

It's time we stop giving US so much pressure, there is China to fall on.

India sets out to become microchip manufacturing hub
Posted: 23 February 2007 1555 hrs

India is already a software powerhouse, with exports set to climb 32 per cent in the year ending March to $32b. But the country's hi-tech manufacturing hasn't kept pace.

Microchips "form the heart of hardware and soul of software in any electronic system," said Rajendra Kumar Khare, an electrical and electronics engineer who heads technology start-up firm Indusedge.

"Cultivation of a robust and scalable semiconductor industry is the key to making the great electron revolution happen," he added.

If this happens, Singapore's downfall is near, i have to prepare to leave this country to be successful. omg
